Guiding Philosophy

WE ARE ALL FACETS OF THE SAME DIAMOND

Each unique, and valuable. With each individual adding more brilliance and complexity to the whole.

IMAGINE A WORLD

Where competition isn’t used to dominate. But as an invitation to be an even better version of ourselves, to tap into a deeper potential of creativity and innovation, to raise the quality of living, business and relationships.

Like a feisty grandma telling you, “You’re better than that. Show me, then we’ll get some ice cream!”

Our mission is to turn your “outsider-ness” into your competitive edge.

There is a gap between your competitors. In that gap are people who need what you do, and especially how you do it.

With a little strategy and soul, we define that gap and carve a niche that only you - with your unique skills, experience and personality - are uniquely honed to fill.

A niche so clear, it’s VIVID.

BE THAT POSITIVE FORCE THAT INFLUENCES YOUR INDUSTRY TO BE BETTER

We want you to be bursting with creativity and fulfillment in your work. We want your clients to feel like “wow-they-really-freaking-get-me!”. We want your competitors to go to you for advice, and even refer clients to you.

Hi, I’m Elisa!

HYPE WOMAN

BRAND STRATEGIST

CONVERSATIONALIST

INTUITIVE

NERD

I’ve been launching projects, products and brands since 2008 - over 15 years working in competitive tech startups and as an entrepreneur. I have the white hair (and LinkedIn) to prove it.

But real talk - I’ve been studying competition since I was in the womb.

What you won’t find on LinkedIn.

My two older brothers are twins so my earliest memories were watching them compete over the same toy, who brushed his teeth faster, who knew how to spell more words…A constant battle for the attention of our overworked parents. Little Elisa just wanted everyone to get along! I started to believed that this was the way of the world: that to be worthy of attention you had to one-up anyone and everyone.

I noticed the same behavior in relatives squabbling over inheritances. Even at a cultural level, I would frequently hear that Filipinos - my ancestry - can’t trust each other due to crab mentality, which basically means "if I can't have it, neither can you". It’s not difficult to find the same patterns happening at a global level between countries.

Then about 10 years ago, my dad had a stroke. My brothers and I all came together for his recovery. One brother communicated with the doctors and insurance, the other brother kept relatives updated, and I accompanied my dad to therapy sessions - each were roles that we gravitated toward and excelled at naturally.

Staring at my brothers’ tired faces across the dinner table, it clicked that we weren’t competing anymore. We each found our own lane, and it was for a greater shared purpose. It was a sh*tty time, but a blessing in disguise.

I’m grateful for the rigor that competition taught me at a young age. I can’t help but wonder how much further my brothers and I could’ve gone if we approached competition from a healthier angle, and found our unique gifts earlier on.

Vivid Edge is my way of bringing balance to the force competition so that it challenges us - in that non-toxic way - to be greater versions of ourselves at home, in communities, in business and society as a whole.
